Fifteen years ago I got this awesome guitar that made me feel like a Rock Star! It was top of the line and it was bad to the bone. It had all the bells and whistles. About 3 months ago, I realized that I haven't played it in 6 years. Why?
I'm not sure, I guess because it was run-down, beat-up and outdated. But what happened to it? ...I guess time did.... time happened to it.
Sometimes we find ourselves the same way, beat-up and useless... but the good news is that God has promised us a permanent "restoration"... He makes us beautiful every day... the more we trust in Him, the more He polishes and shines us.
Some of us need a little more work than others but it's never too late to allow Christ to bring us back to life....
Ephesians 4:22-24
"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."
Last night I started to bring my old guitar "Back to life"... I have stripped all the hardware and paint and I am going to make this old guitar what it once was:Top of the line....No matter how long it takes! Because I know it can still fulfill the exact purpose it was designed to do... rock out some worship to the King of Glory!!! I haven't lost hope in this guitar, and God hasn't lost hope in you. Let him strip you down and rebuild what only he can!

What does "Hosanna" mean?

"What does the word hosanna mean?"
In the New Testament, Jesus entered into Jerusalem as their King, riding on a donkey's colt."
...And the multitude that went before and that followed cried saying, 'Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest'." And, later on that day, when Jesus was in the temple, the courtyard of the temple was full of children crying out, "Hosanna to the son of David."
This made the priests very angry. They wanted Jesus to stop the children's mouths, and they said to Him, "Don't you know what these little ones are saying?"
Jesus answered, "Yes, haven't you ever read, 'Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou has perfected praise'? Jesus quoted this from Psalm eight.
What made the Priests so angry was that they knew very well what Hosanna meant and where it came from. It is a quote from Psalm 118 and verse 25.
Hosanna is a prayer that can only be said to Jehovah. These children were calling Jesus the Son of David and Jehovah, just as Jeremiah had done in Chapter 23, verses 5 and 6. Hoasanna means, "Save us! please!"
-Since we, as believers are already saved and redeemed, it is an echo of our gratitude to God, a thanks to Him in worship for rescuing us.
Join our Sawgrass
team this weekend as we lift up His name "Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest"

Celebration in Diversity
Donaldo Harris laid down the law this weekend as he wrapped up Pastor Troy's message on hope and diversity. I was fired up by Donaldo's story and how God has answered his prayers on finding a diverse church! It is so cool to see how God is bringing together people from different backgrounds and different cultures to worship Him with one voice.
Way to go Donaldo, and thanks for challenging us which "Each one, brings one".
